Acting Instructor’s Book Tops CBC’s Canada Reads Competition

We’re excited to hear the news that Acting for Film & Television guest lecturer Carmen Aguirre has drawn top acclaim in CBC’s Canada Reads competition. The annual battle of the books pits well-known national personalities against each other in a public debate where they must champion a work by a Canadian author.

This year’s focus was on non-fiction books and Carmen’s Something Fierce: Memoirs of a Revolutionary Daughter made it to the top thanks to efforts by Toronto/Vancouver rapper Shad.

Catch the announcement on CBC.ca.

Congratulations, Carmen!
