Classical Animation grad Henrique Barone‘s VFS animated short films, This Idea is Not Working and Tough West, have been getting some serious attention for awhile now. Since we last caught up with Henrique, his films have begun making the rounds at numerous animation festivals around the world.

Tough West, a Western inspired by Rango and Back to the Future III, was the Brazilian selection for International Animation Day and was featured at the following festivals:

Melbourne International Animation Festival
Toronto Animation Art Festival International
FILE Anima+ Electronic Language International Festival (Brazil)
Salento Finibus Terrae Film Festival Internazionalle Cortometraggio (Italy)
Jalloo Festival of Animation and Gaming (Canada)

This Idea is Not Working was awarded 1st Place in the 2D Animation category at Jalloo – The Festival of Animation and Gaming (Canada) and has been featured at seven international animation festivals from Melbourne to Kosovo to Brazil.
