Day at the Races for Sound Design Students

Whether it’s an El Camino or a dragster, no two cars sound alike. And if you’re a sound designer building up your arsenal of recordings, the chance to record new cars is one you take every time. Seemingly every pro has stories of getting up close and personal with the coolest cars around.

So it was that students in the VFS Sound Design for Visual Media program got the chance for a field trip, trekking a way outside of Downtown Vancouver to Mission Raceway Park.

From squealing tires to the churning rumble of a Chevelle, here’s what they heard:
